Speaking of family, the South Okanagan is a wonderful place to raise children. It’s safe, clean, and there are many education options to suit. Okanagan College has campuses in Penticton, Summerland, and Oliver. And the University of British Columbia Okanagan campus in Kelowna is a short commute away.
With a population of around 80,000, the South Okanagan is home to the Penticton Regional Airport which has multiple daily flights to Vancouver and Calgary. The South Okanagan is an easy 4.5 hour drive to Vancouver, 5.5 hours to Seattle and 7 hours to Calgary. Our 24 hour border crossing in Osoyoos makes access to the US straightforward and efficient. The Penticton Regional Hospital, which has served the area well for a many years, is undergoing a $325million upgrade.
