Calling all local artists of all kinds, art groups, festival organizers and gallery operators! The Penticton & District Community Arts Council invites you to take part in its new online directory.

It’s free to sign up and this service will be used to showcase our local arts scene.

Visitors to pentictonartscouncil.com will be able to scroll through the listings to search for all things art related. This will include anything from working artists and musicians to festivals and art galleries, or places where you can sign up for an art class.

“We’re hoping this will be used as a central hub of information about our local arts and culture scene, all condensed in one place. It will be used as a promotional tool to spotlight the arts in our community and the events and opportunities that take place here for both locals and visitors. It’s the perfect companion to the Events Calendar that we share with Visit Penticton,” said Penticton Arts Council administrator Bethany Handfield.

The Arts Council will also use the #LoveLocalArt directory as a centralized hub so they can easily see who to contact when approached with information about specific grants or opportunities.

“We want to make sure we know about all of the artists, groups and events so we can best support them – especially during this time of COVID, as there may be additional opportunities,” said Handfield.
